What methods of payment does Flotas accept?

We accept several payment options, including all important Credit Cards. Please, read about the methods accepted and learn how they apply to your country and are calculated on your order.

After you enter your payment information, it is transmitted directly to our payment processor. They use the highest encryption to keep your bank information private, safe, and secure.

How to pay in the currency of your country

  • Before adding a shipment, make sure to add your “Credit or Debit Card”. 
  • Go to More, and press on “Add a payment method”, 
  • You will be redirected to the “Credit or Debit Card” payment method page.
  • Add your “Credit or Debit Card” details. Then press “Pay”.

Flotas offers you a money-back guarantee and keeps your payment secure and safe until you confirm your item was delivered correctly by the traveler; only then, the payment is released. Therefore any payments outside the platform are not accepted or covered by Flotas. 

[2] Flotas Digital Wallet

The Flotas Wallet is a digital wallet that you can top up and keep Egyptian pounds from refunds. Flotas Wallet allows you to pay without using your “Credit or Debit Card”.

Ever tried to pay for your shipping and service costs but your credit card reached its limit? Don’t worry! You can pay with your wallet. For example, let’s say when you created a shipment, the total cost was EGP6000, you can either top up your wallet with EGP6000 and use your wallet to pay or you can use your Wallet directly if it already has EGP6000 or more. Easy peasy.

Note: Topping up your digital wallet features is not yet supported.

What is Flotas’s Money Back Guarantee?

Worry-free shopping. 

If you don’t receive your item, will be entitled to a refund of up to EGP 20.000 (item invoice will be required) in addition to the refund of the service and shipping cost.

Floas is a community built on trust and safety. We have several measures in place to ensure that you’ll get your requested item, otherwise, your payment will be refunded as stated above. 

Flotas’s money-back guarantee covers you when:

  • You didn’t receive your order on the delivery date you agreed with your traveler and they have not messaged you about a possible delay.
  • You received a different item than requested.
  • You received a broken or damaged item or the order you received was in a different condition than what was described on the product page.

If any of this happens, please refuse to receive the item and contact Flotas support at help@flotasco.com.

If there is ever an issue with your order after you confirm delivery, please reach out to your traveler. Our travelers normally work with shoppers to resolve issues. In the rare event that your traveler is unable to assist, you have up to 24 hours to report the issue, we have a 24/7 customer support team ready to assist you.

Here are some steps to ensure you get your item as requested and allow us to best assist you:

[1] Communicate through Flotas messenger

Communicating through our built-in messenger allows us to assist in the rare event that there is a dispute between a shopper and a traveler. Messages sent outside of the Flotas messenger cannot be verified and therefore cannot be used if one party is breaking our terms of use.

[2] Check that the item is not damaged

Upon meeting your traveler, please take the time to inspect your item. Travelers are informed that you will need time to inspect your item and are willing to assist. By confirming the delivery of your item, you agree that the product you received was as requested.

[3] Ask for receipts

Always ask your traveler over the Flotas messenger to send you an electronic copy of receipts once they receive your order. Receipts help ensure that the products you request are genuine and brand new.

[4] Order from reputable retailers

Travelers are responsible only for delivering your item. If an online store or seller is not describing an item accurately, this affects shoppers, regardless if you obtain the item through Flotas or directly from the seller. We, therefore, recommend ordering from only reputable retailers.

If the shop where the item is requested turns out to be unreliable, the traveler will not be responsible and therefore Flotas’s money-back guarantee will not apply.

[5] Only order products that are permitted by our terms of service

You cannot order any item that is illegal in your country. Additionally, items that are particularly large, heavy, or bulky may not receive any delivery offers because it will be difficult to transport.

What should I do if someone offers to pay or deliver outside Flotas?

Transacting outside of Flotas violates our Terms of Use. You will not be covered by our platform and payment protections and may be exposed to fraud or scams. 

Shoppers and travelers also can’t share contact information, including email addresses and phone numbers, before accepting a delivery offer or request and completing the payment on Flotas.

What should I do if someone asks me to pay outside of Flotas?

If you’re asked to transact outside of Flotas (pay with a bank transfer, wire, or cash), you may not receive the product you ordered or fall victim to a scam. Please let us know so we can step in by reporting these users. Simply send us an email at help@flotasco.com with the user’s profile pic, and explain the situation.

Shoppers: how Flotas protects you and your money

If you’re a shopper, by accepting a delivery offer and paying through Flotas, we will be able to protect you and your money to make sure you receive your product. In case something happens, you’ll be connected with another traveler going to your city soon or will be entitled to a refund of up to EGP 20.000 (item invoice will be required) in addition to the refund of the service and shipping cost. Guaranteed.

Travelers: how Flotas guarantees that you get paid for delivery

If you’re a traveler, by transacting on Flotas, we can guarantee that you’ll get paid for the products that you deliver.

  • After shoppers accept your delivery offer on Flotas and receive their order/s, they can’t change their minds or simply decide to not show up, because they already bought their order/s.
  • By transacting on Flotas, we collect and verify shoppers’ payments. By going off Flotas, you may not get paid for deliveries or receive counterfeit bills.
  • By keeping your transactions and chats on Flotas, our support team can step in if you have any disagreements with your shopper.

⚠️ Important

Transactions outside of Flotas violate our Terms of Use. We invest a lot of team and development resources to help you connect with verified shoppers and to guarantee you get paid for deliveries.

If someone is offering or agreeing to take a transaction off Flotas, we may suspend the accounts of the traveler and/or shopper who is involved.

Methods to receive payouts

Flotas pays via direct bank deposit to banks based in Egypt (using your account IBAN or Bank card). If you do not have an Egyptian bank account, we have an alternative option for you which is mobile wallets like Vodafone/Etisalat/Orange cash. You will be allowed to select one of these methods when setting up your payout method. 

What if my shopper doesn’t show up or refuses to mark the order as received?

Can I trust my shopper?

Yes, Flotas is focused on building a global community of verified and trustworthy people who can help and trust one another.

We have a peer rating and review system in place so you can check the reliability of all shoppers and travelers before making offers or accepting requests. Additionally, shoppers pay only service fees after accepting a deal and it will be held until the successful delivery of their order and only afterward they will be charged the shipping fees. This ensures that shoppers pay for all orders our travelers deliver. We also encourage you to meet with shoppers in public places for safety purposes. 

These measures are in place so that you can enjoy making money while traveling!

What if my shopper doesn’t show up or refuses to mark the order as received?

If your shopper doesn’t show up, message them to schedule a new time and place to meet.

Since they already paid for their order, it is in their best interest to meet with you. If your shopper has not replied to you after several attempts or if you met and your shopper refused to mark the order as received, please email our customer service team so we can help.
